OUR PROGRAMS

 

Learn.  Play.  Explore. 

 

 

With a background including Montesori, Reggio, High Scope, Martin Liberio, among other influences we have put together a program based on these influences and our own beliefs.  Our programming is play based, with education in mind.  We think outside the box by creating actvities based on science, math, art, music and movement that are fun for children to explore.  You will not find stencils, television or iPads here.  Only Imagination.  

 

Daily Schedule: 

 

7:30-9:00 - Arrival - Free Play - The children have the opportunity to play and mingle with all the daycare kids and play creatively.  

 

Toileting 

9:00- Snack 

 

9:30 - Greeting time - A variety of English and French songs, stories and activities.  

 

10:00 - Small Group - Based on Sciences and Math, Small group is initiated by the Educarer and encourages children to explore different elements of their world. 

 

Toileting 

10:30- Noon - Free Play - We play outdoors as much as we can.  We have a large backyard with many activities for the children to explore and play.  

 

Toileting

12:00 (Noon) - Lunch - Hot meals made daily in house. The children help by cutting, mixing, and even menu planning.  As the weather allows, we picnic outdoor.  In the summer, it is rare we eat inside. 

 

12:30-3:30 - Quiet time.  Children nap - older children read on their mats while the younger ones rest.  When they wake up they are encouraged to read, make puzzles, and other quiet table activities/games while the others wake up.

3:30 - Snack - Always fresh fruits and veggies.  Okay, mostly fruits!

 

4:00 - 4:30 - Large Group - Based on Music and Movement, these activities encourage the whole group to get moving and enjoy the beat of music.  From the Hokey Pokey to obstacle courses, from Dancing to Yoga - there is something for everyone. 

 

4:30-6:00 - Departures - Free Play - Outdoors as much as possible.
